Comprehensive early childhood education scholarship program.

Teacher Education And Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Early Childhood® is a comprehensive scholarship program that links training, compensation, and commitment to improving the quality of early childhood care and education experiences for young children and their families. There are four components to the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Program:

  • Educational Scholarships
  • Formal Education
  • Compensation
  • Commitment

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ARIZONA provides scholarships to individuals pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

For scholarships to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, please contact T.E.A.C.H. to learn about other potential scholarship opportunities.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ARIZONA is a licensed program of Child Care Services Association.

In Arizona, the Association for Supportive Child Care (ASCC) is the administrative home and licensee for the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® ARIZONA Program. Child Care Services Association, North Carolina, has agreements to license the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Program in 25 states. Scholarships are offered for 9-15 college credits per year.

Scholarship Eligibility

Child care center teachers, assistant directors, directors, and family child care providers may be eligible for a scholarship if they:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma, GED or associate's degree
  • Have at least 60-64 transferable credits into an Early Childhood Education Bachelor Degree Program
  • Are employed in the state of Arizona
  • Work in a licensed, certified, or tribally regulated center, family child care home or group home
  • Work a minimum of 30 hours each week directly with young children ages birth to 5, or work as a director or assistant director
  • Have the sponsorship of the child care center or family child care home which employs them
  • Provide verification of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Qualify for in-state tuition rates
  • Earn $20.00 or less per hour
