What makes ASCC’s mission meaningful to you?
I believe nurturing the earliest years of a child’s life can change our world for the better. Society as a whole must support and protect a child’s journey if humankind is to realize its fullest potential. As adults, we have much to learn from children about presence, love, and the capacity to grow.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
As cliche as it sounds, I wanted to be a mother. I was always surrounded by baby dolls and loved to play house. When I was older, I wanted to be a teacher. I did become a mother to a beautiful son. And while I’m not a teacher in the traditional sense, I believe we all have the opportunity and responsibility to teach and support one another throughout our lives.
